Bangkok nightlife party not Khao San though

Hi, I've been staying in Khao San for a few days now and am bored of the restaurants and bars there. Can anyone recommend otherplaces nearby to go to?

My favourtie places to go out in Bangkok: - TSUKIYO (retro-japanese-club), not expensive and very nice location. Ekamai 12 or Sukhumvit 71, Soi PD 31. - Samsen Road: there a lot of nice small bars and pubs, next to soi 1 the blues bar and a Thai Ska bar.
